Our partners at Creek Productions

A poster we did recently for our partners at Creek Productions. I’m not sure if they’re accepting international work but you can always ask them!
What is meant by a design-led organization?

This is an essay I wrote for one of my classes in my BA last year. We had to present it in a relevant way, so I choose to chop together a very quick website, with some very rough videos. Did I mention this was a rough-done-overnight-presentation. Rough & rushed.
Q:What made you guys become into design?
I’ve been into art since I was a young child. When I was 9 I imagined being a comic artist would be a cool job and would practice drawing Garfield and the characters from “Zits” (even though I wasn’t extremely into comics and still am not). I grew out of my kiddy comic book stage quickly though but continued to enjoy art whenever possible.
As I continued art classes throughout my school career I enventually reached the point where, as a class, we were introduced to graphic design. I immedietly enjoyed the application of art to a purpose. One of my art teachers, a former Graphic designer, encouraged us in graphic design and by the time I graduated high school it seemed like a natural choice for college.
My father has always had an inclination towards graphic design as well so I grew up watching him paint banners and signs for charities & businesses as well as creating t-shirt designs and other “designery” things. My grandfather, who I’m not close to, happens to be a graphic designer as well (or use to be) so maybe it’s just in my blood.

Don’t know about the other two designers associated with It’s Designed!
When I try to think of a symbol to remind me of my Dad I think of a paintbrush. We’ve spent countless hours working on various projects ranging from murals to banners to paintings for art classes as a kid.
Thanks Dad.
